What is Aluminum Composite Panel?

Being involved in the design industry, I always encounter different construction materials and as much as I want to familiarize myself with everything, I'm pretty sure that doing this will be a long and tough journey. So with that, let's just talk about aluminum composite panel.

What is Aluminum Composite Panel?

Aluminum composite panel is a type of flat panel that consists of two thin aluminium sheets bonded to a non-aluminium core. ACPs are frequently used for external cladding or facades of buildings, insulation, and signage but it can also be used in interiors.

Structure:

As you can see in the construction detail above, the aluminum composite panel is basically a flat panel composed of three layers.

The internal layer is the core of the entire structure and is made of  Polyethylene. Basically, it acts as a bonding agent where the two layers (made from aluminum) are attached. These aluminum sheets are light weight and they are bonded on to the polyethylene core.

Aluminum composite panel is an example of a sandwich panel. It provides flexibility, formability, compactness and stability which is a great product for construction and design.

Thickness:

The standard thickness of ACP is 0.2, 0.3 and 0.4mm.

Special Feature -Weather Resistant:

The great thing about Aluminum composite panel is that it is weather resistant which makes it a great material for architectural buildings.

Colors & Finishes:

You can choose from a wide range of colors for Aluminum Composite Panel. Whatever color you need, from bright tones to neutral tones, they have it. You name it and they have it. Well, more or less that is. But you can imagine what I'm saying.

Also, they offer 6 finishes namely: PVDF Coated, PE Coated, Brushed, Wooden, Marble, and Mirror. Surely, this will suit your requirements for your project.

Where can you purchase ACPs?

You can purchase ACPs in your local construction materials supplier but Kingaluc manufacturer focuses on premium quality products & services and innovation. They are based in China though but they aim to serve their direct customers and indirect customers (architects and designers) in the best that they could and in the best possible way. They offer a wide range of innovative colors and design on coil coated aluminum for the cladding panel such as Brushed ACP, Wooden ACP, Marble ACP, Mirror ACP, etc.

So if you'll be using aluminum composite panel in your next construction projects, you might want to consider Kingaluc Manufacturer especially if you're in China or in Asia.
