Wonderview Resort: Wonder with Nature at Nueva Ecija

One night, we were wondering around Nueva Ecija because we were looking for a place to stay and then everything was just so spontaneous! First and foremost, the reason why we were at Nueva Ecija is because we attended a wedding and since it was already around 5-6pm when we were heading back to Manila, we decided to just check-in at a resort and go home the following morning.

So after many google search and a few talks from the locals, we ended up checking in at Wonderview Resort.

I must say, your money's worth it here. We checked in at 7pm and our check-out time would be at 7pm the next day. When they say 24 hours, they really mean it!

We rented a room villa since it's the only one available aside from the kubo rooms. We're six in the group by the way.

Baguio is the summer capital of the Philippines. Located in Northern Luzon, its cool temperature is a great escape from Manila's sweltering heat.

Last March 10, 2018, I went on a day tour / road trip to Baguio City with my brother, my mom, and her friends! We rented a Van for a day and we were able to explore 12 spots in Baguio City in less than 24 hours!

Sharing with you my travel diary and our Baguio day tour itinerary:

Here's a travel visual diary of the activities I experienced at Phillip's Sanctuary. Since I stayed overnight at Villa Elisha, I had an access to try out a few facilities such as their obstacle course and their zipline!

I had so much fun at this eco-adventure mountain resort because I can't figure out if I have a fear of heights or if it was just a matter of the situation I am in. Because when I did a construction site visit once, I was extremely scared and my legs were wobbling when I was walking pass the really narrow 1 foot concrete pavement to reach the 2nd floor, no harness and all, no railings yet on the staircase, just a piping or something to hold on to as means of support. So my butt was really twisting that moment. hahaha. However though, trying out the high ropes at Phillip's Sanctuary was really fun and I enjoyed it a lot!

VILLA ELISHA STAYCATION: Relaxing in an Instagrammable Villa In the middle of Nature

Located within a 30-hectare private forest sanctuary (Pestaño Farm) in the rolling foothills of the Sierra Mountain range, Villa Elisha is definitely that Instagrammable Contemporary Villa that you would like to relax in while being one with nature!

Named after the owner's daughter, Beatrice Elisha, it's a hideaway that is just an hour drive away from the city of Antipolo.

Trees upon trees would greet you on the way to the villa, as if you're walking towards your own fairy tale story! Breathing in fresh air, listening to the whispers of the wind, and hearing your feet crashing twigs and rocks as you approach the only man-made structure among God's creations.

I am never a light packer. I'm just that type of traveler who can't live in a backpack for a couple of days or months because I need to have everything I need when I go to places. And being a fashion blogger doesn't help either! I know right?!

Truth be told, when I do overnight stays, it seems like I'm staying in for a week but in actuality, I always just carry enough things. I'm not sure if I am just disorganized, messy, or what when it comes to packing my stuff but travel packing is just way too difficult for me and it always has been a burden.

Luckily though, Bagail.com sent me packing cubes just in time for my Overnight Staycation at Villa Elisha (I'll blog about it next) and it helped me to bring just one bag for the travel.

Basically, here's how I do my travel packing (overnight edition):

The Philippines never fails to be amazing as it's filled with beautiful beaches here and there. And there's just so much to do in Anilao Batangas!

October last year, my Japanese cousins arrived here in the Philippines and we've decided to drive to Anilao Beach Club to Snorkle, Kayak, and just chill and relax at the beach before heading to Tagaytay! I am just the happiest at the beach!

Sky Ranch is a leisure park located in the city of Tagaytay, south of Metro Manila, and it is a 5-hectare project of SM Prime Holdings, Inc.

My Japanese cousins and I dropped by Sky Ranch one overnight Tagaytay trip because we wanted them to see the view of the whole Tagaytay City so the plan activity was to ride the Sky Eye (Ferris wheel). However though, we ended up riding the Super Viking and honestly, after that experience, I will never ride that ever again. hahaha.

Located in RCBC Plaza in Makati, Yuchengco Museum is not only a “temple” that showcases art, but also a “forum” of exchange, debate, and education.

I was able to visit it when Samsung and Yuchengco Museum launched Culture Connect and I took the opportunity to go around the museum after the event program. Here are 5 reasons why you should visit Yuchengco Museum:

Various architectural design services in the Philippines are all working hard to create iconic buildings all over the country. This is evident with the growing number of old and new buildings that have been constructed.

I got my first roll of 35 mm film developed last July and I was so happy to see them. From our house to travelling all the way to Hidalgo Street in Quiapo, I was just so excited to see them developed after weeks of waiting. :") Unfortunately though, I tried to get the film from my 3 lens robot camera to make my life easier but I just made it worst. I thought I rolled the film properly back to its canister but nope, that didn't happen. Hence, I exposed some frames (huhuhu) and from 24 shots, I only saved 17 frames. I lost 7 frames! That's seriously sad!! I lost some amazing captures from our Tagaytay trip. So for my next roll of film, I just might not try to roll it back to its canister...

But anyway, here is my first roll of film using a 3 lens robot camera.

close to nature, closer to God

"Caleruega celebrates the priceless gift of life and its Giver. Here, the lost soul finds direction; the weary traveller is shown the Way. Every tree, flower, and brick is a testament to God's splendor and power.

Caleruega speaks through signs and symbols. It is a haven, a home, a sanctuary amidst the beauty of nature where pilgrims are open to prayer, to creative transformation, and to Gospel values."

Tagaytay is "declared" as the Bulalo capital of the Philippines.
True enough, you'll find a Bulalohan in all corners and streets of Tagaytay --- and almost every time we visit the city, we always eat Bulalo. How can you resist? It's so delish! :)

December of 2014 before the end of the year and after our Iligan City Trip (I have yet to blog about it. I have a very messy blog as of the moment), my mom, along with my grandma, and my aunt & his husband went on an overnight trip in Tagaytay City. I've been in and out of Tagaytay for xxx number of times already but this was a different trip.

*WARNING: Heavy load of photos after the cut*

This Christmas gift shop is so wonderful I'm not sure if it's just for show or if it's open to the public to enter and shop! But I'm guessing it's just for photo-taking, unfortunately.

A bit late for the Christmas Spirit but I can still feel the holidays. I like the 2nd photo a lot, truth be told. I adore how I seem to look like Santa's elf enjoying the season through ballet. :'3

Last April 18, 2013, after playing and dipping in the pool at Tagaytay, we went to Sky Ranch! My Japanese cousin asked me what is Sky Ranch and what to find there so I said, "Like mini Tokyo Disneyland with two rides." HAHAHA. It's like a super small amusement park with the number of rides which you can count using your fingers. hehe~

But the thing is, the Philippines' highest Ferris wheel can be found here! :")

With my cousins. :) Too bad my 7th to the eldest cousin missed out all the Tagaytay fun because he has school. awwww. :-/ But anyway, I really have a blast every time I'm with them! :))

At the entrance.

Me gusta face --- The TJ Maeda way! hahaha :)

Music Video. HAHAHA. kidding! :P

Unfortunately, this can't hold the ten of us so we were divided into three groups. hahaha!
WARNING: I'd be flooding you with tons of photos and videos after the cut! sorry~

I love wandering around especially when nature is involved. My life-long dream of living deep in the forest is somehow fulfilled.

So after swimming and trying out adventurous slides at Splash Island, our original plan was to drop by at Nuvali then go to Tagaytay afterwards. But due to an unexpected car aircon  circumstance, we went straight to Tagaytay since the car with the broken air conditioner boards the tourists (my Japanese cousins) and we don't want them to suffer from extreme heat! I swear my country is like the inside of an oven or a microwave! :\

You're probably aware that it's been like our family culture to spend time at Tagaytay every summer (and every vacation!) thanks to my aunt. mehe. But this time, it's so much different and so much fun because as cousins, we were finally complete! Definitely a trip to remember! :) Jamming was the first thing we did which my family always we do. :)) We finally heard our cousin, RJ Maeda (4th photo) played the saxophone live! We just watch his videos kasi. Well, he's really good! We also heard our girl Japanese cousin (the one in pink in the photo above) sing live! Goosebumps guys! hehe. I'll post the videos soon. =)

I photobombed! hehehe :)

JUST DANCE ON WII! :))) One of the things I love to play. ehe~ This is my thing... dancing. HAHA. GALLOPING GOBLINS!!! I DID A RECORD! SCORED 11,000 PLUS on a song I forgot what in particular due to the fact I love dancing. LOL. But still...

Watch my our backs while we dance! I'm the one in pastel pink ----errr. the same clothes in our harlem shake video! hahaha. okay. I repeat house clothes :)))

ITADEKAMASU!!!! :)) Thanks to our half-Pinoys and half-Japanese cousins, we, the pure Pinoys, have now adopted this habit. very nice. hehe~

Thanks for taking this photo kuya RJ! :)
Visit his blog people! He's the one with the saxophone. :) And if you're in Japan, watch him perform live! He has a band and it's called Sonic Blew. They are awesome! :))) Visit the blog here.

The club house is only a 5-minute drive from the house inside the subdivision so this was safe! haha! :) Such a fun experience! We were waving at the people and we were shouting as if we were in some kind of a carnival ride. hahaha. I know, crazy! :D

The following day after my Japanese cousins arrived here in the Philippines, the good Lord finally permitted me to experience Splash Island! Hooray!

After admiring the towering slides from-a-far for 19 years during road trips, my butt finally touched those green slides!! *happy dance*. But unfortunately, I was too busy enjoying the experience that I forgot to take photos of the slides, the pools, the sand, the cottages, and the food stalls. :"( Anyhow, I will still bombard you with photos of our faces which might somehow encourage you to go here. :))

Let me start off by showing two handsome dudes.

Say hello to my cousins! :") TJ Maeda and RJ Maeda. :))
