Hello, hello! I dyed my hair half pink and half blue last April 26, 2019 and I'm enjoying my life! lol.

Change is inevitable. Change is overwhelming. For the past months, I didn't like what was happening in one aspect of my life and that gave me a very difficult time. But I'm doing okay now and I'm moving forward even if I'm picking up my shattered pieces alone this time. I'm no longer hurting as much as I did months ago. The one last push of letting what I feel out somehow helped me have a peace of mind. And even though I don't know exactly why it was happening, acceptance is the key. Letting go and letting God is all I needed to be okay.

I guess that pushed me to finally dye my hair half pink and half blue. Well, I've always wanted to dye my hair boldly so that's what I did. :)

I consider my natural curly hair as one of my best assets. True enough, it has taken me to situations that made my friends and I's life a lot easier than we've expected, say, looking for each other in a crowd. Well, they see me faster than a lightning because they look for my hair amongst the people.

Now, being a bit MIA on the blog and posting backlogs for the past weeks, you probably can no longer track of how my hair really looks like, with the constant change of hair color and all. But I just want to say that I cut my hair short and bleached it and dyed it pink. Okay, it's not pink now as I am typing this but orange. More or less though, it looks the same with the same hair length.

Maintaining one's crowning glory is not a glorious task at all. In fact, I strongly believe that it's a long process of finding what suits you and your hair which involves a lot of experimentation and brand / product trying from time to time.

Being born with natural curls, growing up was a bit of a struggle because of the constant teasing from classmates and from strangers. That act from this judgmental world is what I don't fully understand because what's wrong with having a curly hair? Well, thanks to the "ever reliable" {sarcasm intended} media for defining "ugly" as a person with curly hair. Anyhoo, I shared that because it was really difficult building my self-confidence and self-esteem while I was growing up.

Everywhere you look in film, the media and popular culture, the most common type of hairstyle seen on women is straight hair. Wherever loose waves are sported in magazines or on the red carpet, they are normally as a result of having been intensely heated with curling irons, forming perfect and graceful ringlets. For women who do have naturally very curly hair, we’re most often told that we need to brush our hair, tame it or de-tangle it so that it doesn’t look ‘messy’. Curly hair is not seen as beautiful in the same way as straight or wavy hair, which inevitably has racial connotations too: most black women have naturally curly hair that forms tight helixes to create the dense and fabulous afro style. However, it is only this season on the fashion runways that models like Lineisy Montero and Karly Loyce have taken the industry by storm by wearing their hair naturally instead of heavily treated and relaxed. We love curly hair because it is interesting and exciting, helping to break through the mould of the same-old straight and wavy styles that’s are so commonplace. Here are some of our favourite curly haired women from both fiction and real-life.

"A woman who cuts her hair is about to change her life."

I said goodbye to my very loooooooooooooong Merida/ Mermaid-like hair. If you've been following me on twitter or if we're friends on facebook, you are aware that I finally had a major haircut after so many months of contemplating on whether or not I will cut it short. Well, ladies and gents, I finally did it. And I just want to document and talk about this major change hence, this blog post. Also, I've been ask by everyone why I cut it short. I'm not into long explanations verbally so I just usually answer, "wala lang. feel ko lang. sawa na kasi ako eh". But there's actually more than that. And as a person who expresses her thoughts more on written words, I'm now doing the deeper explanation here.

Last May 17, 2015, I finally had the courage to do it and cut it short! OMG. Truth be told, I wanted to cut it short last year but fear started creeping in with the thought and I really don't want to lose my long locks. I'm torn between wanting the best of both lengths and I am so used to long hair that it became my asset, all thanks to the protagonist of the Disney movie, Brave!

People often compliment me for my long, merida-like natural locks. They say it's even more beautiful than Merida's voluminous hair. And I think that my hair is my greatest asset. However though, what people don't know is that I wanted my hair to be more voluminous but I actually am scared to try to make it more voluminous in fear that it might look insanely unruly and it won't suit me since I am really thin (hello ballerina body!). And believe it or not, I strongly think that my hair is the prettiest in the morning after a long, night's sleep. :)

There are actually a lot of easy ways to give your hair a nice lift and these tips best suit those with curly hair since I am naturally curly. Here are 5 tips for voluminous, healthy hair...

With the colder weather creeping up on us (hello, ber months!!!), it's no doubt that sleeping is one of the best things to do during times like this especially when you sleep on a Casper Mattress. Casper is a sleep start-up that makes outrageously comfortable latex memory foam mattresses. And admit it, every morning you say hello to tangles and knots, and to flyaways and frizz. How do you even solve this problem? Also don't forget to check out the Casper Mattress Facebook page!

If you're like me with long, curly, mermaid hair who often only have 2-4 hours of sleep a day (oh, hey thesis! :< ) and taking a full bath in the morning is not an option as the old generation says that it's bad for your health, i end up doing a half bath which leaves my hair untouched. How do you combat unruly morning hair without doing the only known effective option which is the 'taking a bath' and wetting it? I am not a hair expert but I have ways which are so effective that I just have to share them to you as I know that having unruly morning hair is such a pain, especially if you have natural curly hair.

Ahoy! :) I've been asked by almost everyone I meet whether I got a perm or whether my hair is real. People always get surprised when they find out that my curls are natural and it's just my hair color that is fake. Whether in person or through the world wide web, I get compliments for my hair so I guess it's time to finally share my curly hair care tips and learn how to manage curly hair. :)

It was not easy living with this type of hair as my classmates were teasing me back in my elementary days because I have a curly hair! I was actually waiting for the right age to finally be allowed to get my hair rebonded but a huge thank you to Taylor Swift because ever since she got so famous, I started liking and appreciating my natural locks and thankfully, I have never got my hair straightened!

It wasn't easy finding these curly hair care because truth be told, I think this will be an endless search but as for now, here are some tips on how to manage curly hair which I do to maintain my locks and make them beautiful. :)) Hope they'll help you too! :D

I slept for almost 16 hours today but I guess I am still sleep deprived. This week was such a struggle and it shouldn't be because school should be fun. We were given so much plates to work on and I am seriously flooded and I am not really a big fan of deadlines. UGH. :-/ Now I understand why most artists don't take a bath. I can no longer remember when was the last time I took a bath. hahaha. joke. But I know that one day, all of these will be worth the sacrifices. :D

*No more Nihongo 101 lessons for me because the classes are scheduled on Saturday and I have classes. Boo!
*Late plates. Someone please help me manage my time! :(
*I am still planning on joining this year's Ola Bayle. I no longer have a partner and I need time to practice. Let's see how I'll work this out.
*Blogging duties. I am so filled with backlogs.

Annnnd. in case you're wondering why my title is such, it's because I dyed the tips of my hair blue but it turned out to be a bit green since it blended with my orange-y hair and you're supposed to bleach it first but i didn't know that and as you can see, you can't see it. haha. :(

another annnnd. I am wearing my school uniform here. hihi.~

By the way, I just got home from the Sto. Nino procession which we annually go to. :)) Will blog about everything soon! ^^) Take care everyone!~

A mermaid hair is long, curly/wavy, shiny, and astonishingly soft! It also looks good when wet.

Maintaining it takes a lot of discipline and patience as most people are not born with it! Fortunately, I need not to go to salons in order to have a mermaid hair because I was born with it! Truth be told, I had rough years especially when I was a kid because most girls have straight hair and this type of hair was usually overlooked! It’s only now that I realized how lucky I am especially because I get lots of compliment for my natural curls!

As you can see, these photos were taken right after I woke up! This is my morning hair and I actually find it more beautiful than my normal, regular hair after it is fixed. Weird but true. Well, it wasn’t easy looking for ways on how to maintain it but after years and years of dealing and accepting my natural hair, I found ways and also learned to love my hair thanks to the Memaids, and to Taylor Swift!

Because unlike other bloggers, I can post photos of myself without make-up (which I always do anyway. haha) and photos of myself without actually making myself presentable. Will you do the world a favor and do the same? Because we're all beautiful without actually trying to be beautiful. :")

Excuse my ugly hair but you see, I just dyed it to red again yesterday since it faded into an orange so I wanted to see how it would look like under the sun. :D My hair is really ugly in the morning unless I sleep with a braided hair. haha. I had no plans of posting this just yet but since I'm not done editing my Splash Island photos, well, might as well show you these so you'll have an idea how I look like in the morning after I wake up. =P

I'm currently organizing the stuff I'll sell for Tumblr Fair 2! I hope you can drop by at the fair and visit my booth! :") I'm giving away 5 VIP tickets by the way!

Anyway, I hope you had an awesome day!! :) I'll be back with another vacation blog post! (\^.^/)

Definitely, THE BALLERINA ON FIRE.

There’s a tunnel under my bed that leads to my secret chocolate factory. I fell into my strawberry dip pool so my hair color changed. Or you could just say that I'm one step closer in being a pure mermaid.. haha!

I dyed my hair today.. actually my mom did it. haha. I woke up really early (4:30am) just so she could dye my hair before she went to work. I really wanted to be a red-headed girl so why wait for tomorrow if I already have the hair dye here at home. haha!! The red looks really good under the sun! I wanted it to be brighter.. the hue close to orange and bright red. But Burgundy was the only one available at Watson's so thank goodness for my almost blonde hair. The red dye mixed well.

My hair is not that bright indoors so I'll just spend most of my time outside. LOL. But I might dye my hair in brighter red if I'll have the chance. :) 4 sachets was used to dye my ever so makapal na buhok. Kulang pa nga eh. Anyway, I hope the color will change as the days pass. hehe~

I still have so many backlogs and outfit posts waiting to be published. :( But don't worry, you'll see me and my red hair really really soon! hihi~
Have a great week!
