6 Fantastic ways to beat acne naturally

{original photo credit}

Nowadays I have somehow managed to use fewer skincare products, but this wasn’t the case some time back. My face was covered by rash like acne, and it was wreaking havoc to my self-esteem.

After trying the doctor recommended solutions which included topical creams, tonics, and some of the infomercial products from foundations to toner I wasn’t getting the expected results. One day the level of my frustration got so bad, and I threw all of the products I was using into the trash. It struck me that shortcuts wouldn’t work out in this case, and I was willing to try something new which would help me to stay acne-free forever.

Here are some of the ways by which you can keep your skin clear the natural way. But, before we get to the bottom of it I have to warn you that initially, the issue may get worse as the toxins are trying to get out of your system. But, if you manage to stick to it and not give up, in the end, you’ll get the results you thought you’d never have.

1. Fill in your nutritional gaps

Usually, people who are affected by skin conditions of different sorts are out of balance from the nutrition point of view. Just like diseases, skin disorders are triggered by too much of something, in this case, it may be consumption of a high amount of refined sugars, carbs and very less intake of essential vitamins, omega-3 fatty acids, and other nutrients. So you have to rely on food or in worse cases, supplements to boost your immune system

Take a look at this infographic to know about the 14 essential vitamins which are helpful in treating various skin conditions.

2.  A natural skincare routine

Ditch the chemical products. I know it’ll be tempting to use them since their advertisements promise a quick fix for your problems. But, they all have sulfates, preservatives, and fragrances which can further aggravate your acne and they do not address the root cause of the problem. So choose products which are edible and natural which will double the chances of getting the toxins out of your body.

3.  Clean your colon

This is an important step when it comes to staying acne-free. When the colon piles up with waste, it tries to get rid of toxins via skin in the form of acne. So piling up products on your face won’t help. Therefore cleansing your colon will speed up the acne clearing process. You can cleanse it by having smoothies or drinking herbal tea.

4.  Relax

Calm your body and mind by meditating as it'll help to keep your hormones under check. Negative thoughts or emotions are harmful to our body just like French fries. So find out what works for you as it will help you have some inner peace. Plus, try breathing exercises which will get rid of the stress in your body.

5.  Eliminate certain foods

Your body must have stocked up on toxic chemicals from consuming unhealthy food for years together. When you have acne, your body is telling you that you’re out of balance. So you have to avoid consuming junk food, chips, sodas, processed foods, refined sugar, and saturated fats. I know it’s going to be hard, but you have no other choice other than staying away from such foods. Controlling yourself and staying away from such food will prevent you from falling into the trap set up by skincare companies. 6.  Be patient

Clearing your acne is not a 100-meter race, it’s more like a marathon. Although you wish that your acne will be gone within a day, you have to understand that your body has to adjust to the changes you make. You can make things worse even when you take the natural route if you try to speed up the process. Be patient and your acne will clear out eventually.
