Twenty Four


I'm twenty four today!! <3


Not gonna lie but I'm definitely, definitely SO MUCH HAPPIER now than last year. In all honesty, my birthday last year was a bit of "just an ordinary day of being stressed at work", if it wasn't for my brother who I met and spent time with at a cafe after work. My 23rd birthday write-up was filled with doubts and unhappy thoughts, no matter how hard I tried to conceal it, because I know you guys could tell based on the comments you left. At 23, I was in constant phase of being lost and of having doubts of what I'm doing with my life, thus, hitting rock bottom and experiencing a quarter life crisis. I know that I constantly express that experience over and over but if you've been through it and you've surpassed it, you'll get me. And you'll be so proud of yourself for staying strong even if it would just take a snap before you break into a million pieces.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that I went through so much last year which greatly affected my life and I am just so proud of myself for trusting the Lord with His plans even though it was extremely difficult because today, as I turn 24, I know that better things are coming ahead and the decisions I made last year, of quitting and giving up, and of starting a new career adventure, are definitely worth the struggle as I am exceptionally HAPPY now!

Honestly, for the past years, I don't feel like celebrating my birthday. My special day doesn't feel special though I am very grateful for being blessed with another year, and I don't know why it always felt like just an ordinary day passing by but people notice me. However though, this year, I'm planning to make it special and I hope that this thing that I'm planning would leave happy marks on people's hearts because I AM SUPER GRATEFUL for what is happening with my life right now and I want to have a purpose. I'm hoping for the best. <3

Quoting my 22-year old self because it still applies up to this day,

"And to all the people who have hurt me, encrypted pains and heartaches, and to those who hated me for being who I am, thank you. You helped me be strong and helped me love myself more. To all the people who supported me, believed in me, and loved me for who I am, I am extremely grateful. And I can't thank you enough."

You don't know how much that means to me <3 And yes, sometimes people around us affect us in a way that make us struggle so deeply that sometimes break our self-esteem but there are also those people who help us and support us so it's better if you let those kind of people be around you =) Thank you so much again new blogger friend! <3
