DIY Metal Cat Ear Nekomimi Headband


I am in love with the Japanese fashion because it's so diverse which I find magnificent! :) And the cat ears headband is one of their trends that really caught my attention. Since it's not yet trending here in the Philippines and I badly want to wear one, I've decided to make my own because I don't want to pay a fortune for the shipping fee! haha. Also, I'm not really into headbands so this is a great way to revamp them! :))


MATERIALS:
- Thick wire (I used a copper wire because I have a red metal headband)
- Pliers
- Thin metal headband
- Glue gun
- Pearl beads (optional) 

STEPS:


1. Measure the wire at least 6 inches. Then cut it using your pliers.


2. Using your pliers, enfold (wrap) at least one inch of the wire on the metal headband, 2 inches from the center (Or you can wear the headband to measure your desired position). Then glue gun it.

3. Afterwards, bend the wire to form a cat ear shape. Be sure to leave at least an inch hanging from the other end. Then wrap it on the metal headband and secure using a glue gun.


4. Repeat steps 1, 2, and 3 to create the second ear!

5. For embellishments, you can use pearl beads to stick to the ears to make it look more elegant. But as for me, I went for the simpler look because I ran out of white pearls!
