DIY Dainty Curtain Tieback

A tieback is a decorative strip or device of cloth, cord, or metal for draping a curtain to the side of a window.

Because I don't have my own sewing machine yet, I can't experiment and sew my own curtains so what I do is, I make my own tiebacks to add my personal touch to the curtains my grandma made! So for today's DIY, it's all about being dainty!

What you'll need:
-Lace
-Fabric Bows (I made my own)
-A strip of fabric (I used the bottom hem of a shirt I revamped)
-Needle and Thread

What to do:

1. Get your lace strip and find the center. Then fold the quarter part of the lace towards the center. Do the same on the other side.

2. To secure this in place, manually sew the middle and you'll have a big lace bow!

3. Next, sew your lace bow to the fabric strip (you can use fabric ribbons with thick width). This fabric will serve as your base for the tieback. To do this, find the center of the fabric strip by folding it in half, and marking it with your finger or use a pin. Then sew the lace bow.

4. Manually sew the fabric bow at the center of your lace bow.

5. Lastly, embellish! embellish! embellish! Use black beads to embellish the bottom part of the white lace bow. This way, you'll add more life and beauty to your tie back!

Isn't it pretty? Anyone can do this because it's really easy and it will only take about 15-20 minutes of your time to do one!
