Ponggal Kitchen and Bar

I've always been fond of visiting and trying out new cafes and restaurants because (1) I like discovering nice interiors and (2) I like trying out new food and drinks! But in this case, my friends, is way different than usual because I was so effin' tired from all the walking which I don't wanna do but was forced to do, and I was sooo tired that when I saw the menu in their exterior space, I just had to stop and barge in to be able to sit down and energize myself.

"hahaha you just have to dine in there and take an insta pic i bet"

A friend of mine told me that when I was telling him the story of what happened to me that day. Apparently, he knows me too well but he got it wrong because I took photos not just for insta rather, for my blog. hahah.

The interior was pretty cool, though personally, I'm not really a big fan of the color "yellow". But the mixture of textures; the combination of the wood and the white bricks; and the play of colors create an ambiance that is fun, enjoyable, and happy. What makes it more special is the touch of creativity in it, specifically, the doodles on the white walls and as well as the iconic and familiar black and white photos on the wall, which can be a conversation starter. And I think that, that makes it interesting to chill and hang-out with friends and family in Ponggal Kitchen and Bar.

Where's my Straw!? Freakshake: Milky Crazy

Because I didn't really intend to dine, chill, and hang in here as it was just accidental that I've set foot in the restau, I only got to taste their Freakshake to quench my thirst!

I ordered the milky crazy where's my straw (literally because it took me a few seconds or a minute to find it) freakshake. The shake was very delish, I must admit. But the snack on top of the shake was kind of too much for my sweet tooth. Perhaps if I wasn't pressured with time on finishing this up and if I was hanging with my friends, I would have enjoyed it. I guess my emotions and my taste buds was just battling that time. hehe

They've got a wide array of choices as you can see in their menu --- from breakfast to dinner, to snack and dessert, they've got you covered! If you happen to pass by along Sta. Cruz / Blumentritt area, why don't you pay them a visit and eat your heart out! Plus, their interior is instagram-worthy too!

By the way, they have a very accommodating crew as they saw me fanning (bec again, I was so tired that day from walking) and they took out more electric fans for my comfort. (Note: the place is air-conditioned) I did not told them anything but they saw me so they took action. hehe. Thank you po! :)
