Goat's Milk Soap

Over the years I've used a variety of soap, cleanser, cream, moisturizer, and even tried a fresh tomato to try and cure my face acnes and pimples. They all did not work for me. I know, I hate my skin. Well, from time to time, they work but when I'm sleep deprived and when I'm stressed from school works, the pimples can't be removed from my face. I swear my pimples love me so much they don't want to get out of my face!

I want to have a flawless, porcelain skin like David Archuleta's (he is skin goals I swear. I want his skin it's so smooth and silky and flawless!). But my bad skin is genetic (plus Manila pollution & stress) I can't fix it. I have accepted it already and learned to live with it. But that doesn't mean I don't take care of my skin. I have just given up on making it flawless. Also, I no longer want to toxicate it (particularly my face) with chemicals and synthetic ingredients (hello commercial body care products!). So when we stopped-over at Mr. Moo's on our way home from Tagaytay City, I came across their Goat's Milk Soap product and I just felt the urge to buy and try it.

Here are five good reasons to use goat's milk soap according to Natural News:

1. Goat's Milk Soap delays signs of skin aging - Goat's milk soap delays signs of skin again due to its high content of alpha-hydroxy acids such as lactic acid. Alpha-hydroxy acids break down dead skin cell bonds, removing dead skin cells from the skin's surface and leaving behind new cells on the surface that appear smoother and more youthful.

2. Goat's Milk Soap is not a chemical counterfeit - Water-based soaps on mainstream supermarket shelves use harsh chemical acids to break down dead skin cells. The lasting effect of chemical acids on the skin is more similar to a chemical "burn." Alpha hydroxyl acids found in goat's milk, work with skin instead of breaking it down and aging it further.

3. Goat's Milk Soap has Anti-inflammatory properties - Goat's milk reduces skin inflammation due to its fat molecule content. The cream present in goat's milk is a moisturizer, soothing dry and damaged skin, possessing an anti-inflammatory effect.

4. Goat's Milk Soap is loaded with essentials - Goat's milk is packed full of essential nutrients and vitamins like vitamin D, C, B1, B6, B12, and E, that feed the skin and are absorbed into the body.

5. Goat's Milk Soap treats acne - Studies now show that goat's milk is effective for treating acne and skin conditions. This is primarily because goat's milk has anti-bacterial properties that delay the growth of microbial organisms that spur the spread of acne.

I have actually given up on the fact that my face will be pimple-free and I'll just go for the "anti-aging" effect of the soap and as well as feeding my skin and face with essential nutrients and vitamins.

However though, I've been using goat's milk soap for almost six months now (with thesis stress and practicum stress), I've already used up the oatmeal goat's milk soap, and I'm seeing improvements on my skin! From a walking pimple queen to a walking pimple commoner --- that's seriously a lot of improvement! Actually, before, my problem was both the pimples and the pimple marks. But now, it's just the pimple marks.

I love the soap so much. It lasts long, it has a nice smell (smells like milk), and it has good effects on the skin! However though, when the soap is melting (in its last few solid form), it kinda smells rotten. But I guess that's fine since it's all natural.

    1. They really are! I have oily skin (oily face to be specific) and I think the goat's milk soap made me oilier? Idk. HAHA. But I recently bought a Lemongrass flavor which, according to its description, removes excessive oil on skin. So hopefully, the lemon grass goat's milk soap would remove my oily skin. I trust the soap so much, I believe in its magic because so far, they are working for me. :)
