Brand New and Unread Books

I enjoy going to bookshops especially when I know that the books once belonged to other people and that I can smell the beautiful scent of the pages of an old book which nobody ever tried of bottling. Whenever I go to the mall by myself, I always find myself walking towards Booksale first! :) I always end up buying something even if I have a lot of unread and unfinished books lying around our house! I can spend a fortune in a book I really, really want!

The photos above are the books I just bought and the books I haven’t read but found in my grandmother’s book collection! The reason why I haven’t read these is because of school. I’ve been really busy with drafting plans that I haven’t found enough time to sit back and relax in a small corner with a good book. It really saddens me. Anyhow, the three books on top are the new, but not really new books I recently purchased. I know that it sounds odd but I really do like the vintage feel of those books!

*At Weddings and Wakes – Alice McDermott
*Irish Lace – Andrew M. Greeley
*Legends of the Fall – Jim Harrison
*The French Powder Mystery – Ellery Queen
*Long Winter’s Night – Sondra Stanford
*Panda Bear is Critical – Fern Michaels

  9. I agree! I also go straight to Booksale and other bookstores. Ever since I was a kid, I would choose the bookstores over clothes. LOL. I also love smelling books. I'm proud to be a book sniffer but not those with dusts. Haha :)
