DIY Rings
Classes were suspended last Monday due to continuous heavy downfall of rain. So I wasn't able to surf the net and visit blogs all day because my brother was in the house. And because of that, my Monday turned out to be a very crafty Monday. I made rings and at the same time saved Mother Earth because I used stuff from broken accessories and excess fabrics i have here in the house instead of just throwing them away! =)
MATERIALS:
Beads from broken accessories, ribbons, felts, etc.
I actually have a huge collection of this because I'm a jewelry designer and maker and I'm just very crafty so I collect them instead of throwing them. (There's actually more of this lying around here)
Old Bangles
These belong to my mom. haha. Good thing she didn't get mad at me because I used it without permission.
Told her when she got home in the evening and when my rings are already made. :P
Pliers.
That huge one is my dad's and the two cute ones are mine.
They're already rusty because I've been using them in making my jewelries ever since I was in elementary.
Glue Stick, candle and match or lighter.
USE A GLUE GUN!
haha. my glue guns are all broken so just like trishie, i used a candle and a glue gun. haha.
HOW TO MAKE:
1. Create your ring base from the old bangles. Use your pliers to cut, and shape them.
2. Stick on the old beads, ribbons, felts, etc to the ring base using the candle and glue stick
(your glue gun. haha). You can create shapes and bows by combining your materials. Just let your creative juices flowing pretties and dudes!
And you're done!! Super easy right?
I'll try to make a DUDE VERSION of this soon. :)
